Ideas, votes and what's new

Hey! What would make Acme better for you?

Popular right now

From “can you add…” to “it's live”, without opening a dashboard.

1

They ask, right where they are.

An ask bar, a button or a quiet prompt next to a feature opens a sheet that feels like part of your app. They can circle the part of the screen they mean. As they type, it finds what others already asked, so one vote replaces ten duplicates.

2

You hear it on your phone.

Every request lands in Telegram, Slack or Discord with buttons to plan, merge or reply. Your reply reaches everyone who asked, inside the app. No dashboard to check.

You ship with a commit.

Write “closes YA-12” in a commit or pull request. When it lands, YouAsked marks it shipped and writes the note from your commit. Or let your agent pick the top request and do the whole thing.

Everyone who asked hears about it.

The next time they open your app, a card says what they asked for is live. That's the moment people tell their friends.

Pick a way in. They all feel built in.

Pick the ones that fit your app. They all open the same sheet, in your colours, your font and your dark mode.

Vote on ideas or suggest your own

Made for the agent you already use.

Paste one prompt into Claude Code, Codex or Cursor and it sets everything up. Then your agent can read the top requests, build them and ship them.

Paste this into your agent

It reads the install guide, adds the entry points that fit your UI and signs your users.

Prompt
Add YouAsked to this app so people can ask for features, vote, and hear when what they asked for ships.

Read https://youasked.dev/install.md and follow it from start to finish:
1. Before changing anything, work out the platforms (web, React Native or Expo, or both) and how the app is laid out.
2. Propose where the entry points should go and why, and whether users will be signed in. Wait for my OK, and ask me anything you can't tell from the code.
3. Set it up with `npx youasked init`, sign users on the server if the app has sign-in, and match our theme in light and dark.
4. Test every entry point on localhost or a dev build.
5. Finish with what changed, where each entry point lives, and what I need to do to go live.

Or run it yourself

Finds your framework, writes the keys and adds the components you pick.

Terminal
$ npx youasked init

Let your agent ship requests

Lists the top asks, reads the details, replies and marks things shipped.

Terminal
$ claude mcp add youasked -e YOUASKED_SECRET_KEY=ya_sec_… -- npx -y @youasked/mcp

Questions

Can a request make an AI change my code?

No. Requests are treated as text people wrote, never as instructions. Nothing changes in your code unless you, or an agent you started, decides to build it, and nothing ships without your commit.

What do you get about my users?

Only what you pass. Sign a user ID on your server and that's all that leaves your app. Email and name are optional, and anonymous visitors work too.

Which platforms does it support?

React and Next.js today. React Native and Expo are coming next, then Swift and Flutter, all on the same API.

Do I have to use Telegram?

No. Telegram gives you buttons to act on requests. Slack and Discord get a message for each request, and the web dashboard works anywhere.

Is there a free plan?

No. You can install YouAsked and try it in your own app for free: until you subscribe it runs in test mode, which answers only from localhost. When you're ready to go live, pick a plan. Every plan has a 14-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. We don't run a free tier because free apps cost real money here (AI, screenshots, notifications) and we'd rather keep the price flat and low.

Can I self-host?

Yes. The server is source-available under FSL-1.1-MIT: you can read it, run it and self-host it for your own apps, but not offer it as a competing hosted service. Each release becomes plain MIT two years after it ships. The React widget, the CLI and the MCP server are MIT from day one.
